Professor Ma Haitao
Prof. Ma Haitao is the Rector of the Central University of Finance and Economics. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics, Professor at the School of Economics. Selected member of the National High-Level Talent Program, member of the New Century Baiqianwan Talent Program. His research focuses on Fiscal and Tax Theory and Policy, Fiscal and Tax Management. He also serves as the Vice President of the China Public Finance Enterprise and the China Tax Company.

Spyros A. Karamanos is Professor of Computational Structural Mechanics at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece. Currently, he is the Vice Rector of international Relations, Outreach and Lifelong Education of the University of Thessaly. He has a Diploma in Civil Engineering from NTUA, Athens, Greece (1989), and a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, USA (1993). From 2016 to 2019 he also served as Chair of Structural Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He teaches Structural Mechanics and Finite Element methods and specializes in structural performance of energy infrastructure systems with emphasis on pipeline mechanics and integrity. His research focuses on buckling and fatigue of steel pipelines and tubular structures, using finite element models supported by experimental testing. His research has been supported by numerous research projects with the participation of industrial partners. He has published over 90 papers in refereed international journals, over 170 papers in conference proceedings and two books.

Ioannis Anagnostopoulos was born in Athens, Greece in 1975. He graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology, University of Patras, Greece (1998), and he received his PhD from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, Greece (2004). He was with the University of the Aegean until 2010 serving as a lecturer. He currently serves as Professor in the University of Thessaly at the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics. His research interests include Web Information Management, Internet Technologies, Semantic Web Technologies, and Linked Data, as well as Online Social Network Analysis. He has more than 40 articles in international journals and more than 100 papers in international refereed conferences. Until today he has participated in more than 10 European and National funded Research Projects. He speaks English and French fluently.
His research interests are focused on Internet Technologies and Applications, Intelligent Data Management, Machine Learning, Computer Communications, Networks and Multimedia, as well as in particular issues of Computer Systems Modeling and Interoperability. Since 2004 he has been teaching in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Study Programs in Greek Universities regarding the above research topics, while he has more than 90 articles in international journals and book series and more than 100 articles in proceedings of international conferences. At the same time, he has edited a significant number of special issues in international magazines (special issues) and special sessions in international conferences (special sessions) on the above subjects, while he has participated in more than 20 European and national research/development programs as Scientific Manager and Member of Working Groups , as the Representative/Expert of Greece and the General Secretariat of Research and Technology, while he is the Representative of the University of Thessaly in the Open Technologies Organization / EELLAK.

Professor Chen Binkait
Professor Chen Binkai, holds a Ph.D. in Economics, Deputy Rector of the Central University of Finance and Economics. Selected member of the National High-Level Talents Program, member of the New Century Baiqianwan Talent Program. Nominated for the New Century Outstanding Talent Program of the Ministry of Education, Awarded the "Beijing Science and Technology Talents with Outstanding Contributions" and the "Beijing Outstanding Young Talents". His research focuses on Development Economics and Macroeconomics. He also serves as the Vice President of the China Information Economics Enterprise and the Society of Chinese Commercial History.

George Petrakos is an Economist and a Professor at the Department of Planning and Regional Development, University of Thessaly. He has served a 4-years term as the Rector of the University of Thessaly, an academic institution that was established in 1984 and has succeeded to be ranked at the top 5% of institutions worldwide in a short period of time. He has also served as the Chairman of the Department of Planning and Regional Development (6 years), a member of the Research Council of the University (3 years) and as the Director of several Graduate Programs and the Laboratory for Regional Policy.
He has also served the Government of Greece for 2.5 years as the Secretary General for Investment and Development in the Ministry of Economy and Development. He has served as the President of the JESSICA and JEREMIE Investment Funds. In addition, he has served as the Vice-President of the European Regional Science Association (ERSA) and as a member of the Council of the Regional Science Association International (RSAI) for a 3-years term (2008-11).
He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Arizona State University (USA) and has a strong research and publication record, which includes more than 25 books and edited volumes and about 200 articles in journals and books. He has a long experience in setting up and participating in European research networks and successfully implementing a large number of EU funded and highly competitive research programs.

Konstantinos Ampountolas is Associate Professor of Automatic Control in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Thessaly (UTH), Volos, Greece. Currently, he is the Director of the Automatic Control and Autonomous Systems Laboratory at UTH. He has a Diploma in Production Engineering and Management, an M.Sc. in Operations Research, and a Ph.D. in Control and Systems Engineering, all from the Technical University of Crete, Chania, Greece. Before to joining UTH, he was a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) with the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow (UofG, 2013-2019), United Kingdom, and an Associate Director at UofG’s Urban Big Data Centre. He was research fellow at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, 2012-2013), Switzerland, Research Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, CA (2011), and post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), Greece (2010). He was also short-term visiting professor at Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, Israel (2014), Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden (2016), and the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil (2016; 2019). His research interests include automatic control and optimization theory with emphasis on applications to traffic, transport, and automotive systems, large-scale networks, and further areas.

Associate Professor Stella Tsermentseli, University of Thessaly
Stella Tsermentseli is an Associate Professor specializing in "Developmental Psychopathology & Cognitive Functions" at the Department of Primary Education at the University of Thessaly. Her research interests focus on the study of neuro-cognitive processes, in terms of their structure, functions and development, as well as their contribution to the social and adaptive skills of individuals with neurodevelopmental and other disorders. She has worked as a researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience of King's College London and has been a Lecturer and Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Greenwich. She has also taught at Royal Holloway University of London, the Open University and London South Bank University in the UK. Her work has been published in prestigious peer reviewed journals and has been presented in numerous international conferences. She has participated in various funded research projects in collaboration with researchers from different countries. She is a member of scientific societies, a reviewer in many scientific journals and has experience in supervising doctoral students.
